Ralph Lauren presented their 2024 Women Fall Fashion line at his private studio in New York City on April 29, 2024. The fall line was filled with beautiful pieces that excited fashion enthusiasts across the world. The Ralph Lauren corporation stated that the line was “the epitome of understated elegance and timeless glamour.”
The line was filled with soft neutrals and metallic shades. The line captures that of a women who is “a woman who is natural, confident, and timeless.” The beautiful shades tans and browns are what make the collection stand out for its elegance. The timelessness of the collection also comes from the perfect amount of minimalism and talent from Mr. Lauren himself.
The collection included many Western themes and references including fringe, leather, thick belts, and cowboy hats. This builds on the rising trend of country clothing or country-inspired clothing making a comeback this fall season.
The collection seemed to have a sense of nostalgia as the designs felt historical. Neckties were at the forefront of the runway which appeared to be an acknowledgment of Laurens’s time at Rockefeller Center in the late 1960s where we were designing and selling ties for Beau Brummell.
Although many believed this would be one of Laurens’s last show productions, the 84-year-old does not seem to be planning on slowing down anytime soon. In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, he spoke of his recently launched new home collection and also his plans of possibly opening hotels.
Lauren seemed to use his fall collection to go back to his roots and show the world he still remembers where we came from. This line will for sure make an impact on the colors and trends we see as we ease into the fall 2024 season.
