School is finally coming to an end. From creating new memories and taking finals, it’s all over. In this article, you will find multiple ways to detox from the summer and create even more memories during your summer. According to studies concluded by NYU senior research scientist Noelle Lenard,  “School, homework, extracurricular activities, sleep, repeat—that’s what it can be for some of these students.” As a student here at Roxbury High School, I agree that, with our range of extracurricular activities and education, it can all add up. This summer, students all around New Jersey deserve a break. Here are some fun ways to give yourself a break:

Concerts

One thing to do this summer that everyone can enjoy is concerts. Concerts are the perfect thing to do in the summer with friends and a great way to spend your day. In Holmdel NJ at PNC Bank Arts Center hosts so many artists with a ranging variety. In total this summer they include 32 Events and not to mention they’re home to some of the greatest artists. Two artists will be touching upon are Eric Church and Snoop Dogg. Both of these concerts range in prices and seating arrangements and are both held at PNC. Snoop Dogg’s concert takes place on Wednesday, August 2nd at 6 pm. Cheap seats that you’re guaranteed to have a blast in are lawn seats. These seats range from $24 to $35. These are going to be the most affordable seats at every concert. If Pop and Hip-hop aren’t your forte, Eric Chruch will be performing on Friday, August 25th at 7:30 pm. These lawn seats range from $32 to $84. Consider enhancing your concert experience this summer with audiovisual hire. Waterparks

Places to go that spark childhood memories can really make your summer exciting. Plus, summer is the perfect time of the year to splash around outside and have fun. A ton of waterparks that surround NJ are Funplex, Great Wolf Lodge, and Camelback Resort. Great Wolf Lodge and Camelback Resort are both located in Pennsylvania but in reality, they are not far whatsoever. They are located in Tannersville and Scotrun. Both of these places guarantee to make your summer memorable. On the other hand, Funplex’s Water Park is located right in East Hanover. Summer is known for being the hottest time of the year and there is no way to cool off better than a water park. 

Visit a Historical Site

For people that are missing school in summer a great way to fill that need is going to check out elements of history right here in New Jersey. Places that are a must-go this summer are Morristown and Trenton. Morristown is known for being “the military capital of the American Revolution.”. Due to this fact, there is so much to do such as visit the Morristown National Historical Park. They open at 10 am and are located at 30 Washington Pl, Morristown, NJ. Another option is Trenton. Trenton is known for being the capital of New Jersey and is also known for “General George Washington’s army defeating a garrison of Hessian mercenaries at Trenton.” According to American Battlefield Trust. In Trenton, there is Patriots Theater at the War Memorial according to reviews is a great place to stop by.

Summer is a time to make every day memorable, a time to relax, and become stress-free. Before everyone knows it summer is away and fall is on its way. If you add one of these factors to your summer agenda you’re guaranteed to have a blast. No matter who you’re with activities are always a way to make things more interesting. This is your must-have summer bucket list.
