Roxbury High School’s Cheer Team is “selling” ice cubes between now and Monday, September 23rd! You can purchase an ice cube from any cheer team member for $1 each.
The Cheer team’s goal is to raise more than $500 and, if they accomplish this, they will livestream themselves dumping ice via Instagram (@roxburyhscheer) on the following staff members—Mr. Mason, Mr. Roumes, Mr. Crispino, and Mr. Gallagher. If they don’t raise more than $500, the staff dump ice on the cheerleaders.
We asked the Cheer coach, Mrs. LaCosta, what her thoughts were on this fundraiser, and more importantly, on the prospect of either her team or one of the four staff members on the line getting iced. “We are looking forward to the Ice Wars. The goal for the fundraiser is to raise over $500. The cheerleaders are collecting cash donations, $1 or more. We will also collect donations at the next home game on 9/20.”
All the money collected will go towards the cheer team’s media day! If you’d like to donate, search for one of our cheerleaders and hand them your donation.
