- If the weather has you down this weekend, come check out Roxbotix competing in RoboCon 2025 at the Bridgewater Mall. They will be competing against 24 other FRC teams with last year’s robots and equipment. Additionally, there will be numerous STEM activities for the public. Saturday’s qualification matches start at 10:00 am and continue until 7 pm with various breaks. Sunday’s playoff matches start at noon and run until 5 pm. Stop by their pit, and they will show you their robot as well as around their event!

September 30th is Microcephaly Awareness Day Microcephaly is a neurological disorder where a child’s head circumference is smaller than normal at birth. It can be diagnosed before or after birth and may cause lifelong neurological challenges ranging from mild to severe.On September 30th, wear yellow to raise awareness and show support for all those living with microcephaly, including one of our very own Roxbury Gael’s sisters, Summer, who is 12 years old and is our warrior ☀️

- The Roxbury Performing Arts Department is thrilled to present its annual Broadway Night on October 16th at 7 pm! This performance will take place in the RHS Auditorium. This student-run performance showcases a variety of songs from Broadway Hits and movie musicals. Admission is free; however, they will be accepting donations at the door. The Night will end with the announcement of the spring musical!

- Environmental Club: Meetings are on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in G161. They present on current environmental topics, work in the front garden, host guest speakers, create bulletin boards, make environmentally friendly crafts, and host open discussions. - Roxbury HOSA: HOSA is an international student organization to promote career opportunities in the health care Industry to help train future leaders and improve health care worldwide. Members study specific healthcare-related subjects before attending regional, and even state or national competitions, possibly even making it to the International Leadership Conference, where their medical knowledge is tested on an International scale. Our club is great for those interested in medicine and STEM, and is also a great club to put on college transcripts! Google Classroom Code: Jhgq72g.
- JSA: The Mission of JSA is to strengthen American democracy by educating and preparing high school students for lifelong involvement and responsible leadership in a democratic society. They are a nonpartisan, student-led organization with the mission of fostering civic engagement among high schoolers through regular debates, local events, information about current events, and activism and volunteering opportunities. They provide students with a platform to voice their opinions and engage in meaningful discussions. Through our activities, they hope that students will develop their own unique and informed worldviews and create change.

Our 9/29 Teacher of the Week is Mrs. Wassmer!
Mrs. Wassmer is a Special Education teacher at Roxbury High School. She has been teaching here for 9 years and is the advisor of The Interact Club. She majored in Education at William Patterson University during her undergrad and later received her Master’s Degree from Centenary University.
