- Junior Prom is today at the Mansion in Mountain Lakes starting at 6:30 until 10 PM!
- Little Patients, Big Heroes: Morris County School of Technology in Denville is hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic tomorrow, Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 am -1:00 pm.
- AP testing will be happening from Monday, May 5 to Thursday, May 15.
- Senior Prom will be on Wednesday, May 21.
- The National Art Honors Society (NAHS) induction ceremony and Break Into Art Show will be hosted at Roxbury High School on Thursday, May 29.
- The Nightingale Literary Magazine will be hosting a Writer’s Night on Thursday, May 22 at 4:30 p.m.
- The Senior class will have their Senior Class Trip to Funplex on Friday, May 30.
- The 2025 Roxbury Media Conference will be hosted at RHS next Friday, May 9.
- Congratulations to the following art students for their amazing awards at the Mt. Olive Art Invitational where 12 schools and 120 artworks were competing for category awards and scholarships.

- The SEL Fair was on April 30. With over 300 participants in past years, the district-wide SEL Fair highlights community mental health and wellness resources, food, student work, and interactive demonstrations.
- The Roxbury Athletics team has come out with Green T-shirts in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month that are selling for $15. These shirts will be hosted during the week of May 5-9 at all of the home games in that week. All our athletic teams will wear green to raise awareness for student-athlete mental health and all proceeds will be going to the National Alliance of Mental Health (NAMI). Look on the Roxbury Athletics instagram page at rox.endthestigma, or reach out to Mr. Bischoff in P242 for more information!
- Matthew Bocchi hosted a speaking presentation on opioid awareness on April 29 at 6:30 pm in the RHS auditorium. Matthew Bocchi told his story about loss, obsession, abuse, and addiction and how he dealt with his father’s death in 9/11.
- Congratulations to Kiara Ortiz for having her photograph selected by judges for the NJ Youth Arts Month State Exhibition. The exhibition was held at The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Great job, Kiara!

CHOIR
- Thursday (5/1) The Roxbury Choir Program had their Choir Concert where all of the different choirs performed songs and honored the seniors. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 members of the Roxbury Choir Program for their final Concert here at RHS!
- Saturday (5/10) The Roxbury Choir Program will be participating in the “Music In the Parks” Choir Competition. They will have a day-long-trip to Hershey Park, Pennsylvania to enjoy the amusement park and compete with other choirs from the region. Good luck Roxbury!
MARCHING BAND
- Marching Band registration for the 2025 season is officially open! Fill out this form to register! The Marching Gaels will be putting on their show entitled “The Transmission”, a space inspired performance! Watch the trailer here!
- On May 5, 12, and 19, there will be rehearsals for current Marching Gaels members for the upcoming Memorial Day Parade (5/26).
- If anyone is interested in joining the Marching Gaels for the upcoming school year, there will be “Try-It” rehearsals Monday May 5, 12, and 19. Come hear about the 2025 show and meet new people!
INDOOR COLOR GUARD
- Saturday (4/12) Roxbury Color Guard had their Championship performance, performing their show “Bad to the Bone” for the last time. The Color Guard are the MAIN AA division silver medalists, with a score of 87.6! Congratulations to the Color Guard!
Spanish Club Schedule:

The club’s purpose is to appreciate the culture of the Spanish-speaking world and encourage as many people as possible at Roxbury High School to participate. There will be more meetings. Email Kevin Cantwell and Maria Jose Navarro for any further questions or more information.
- The Equal Rights Advocacy Club is hosting a meeting on Tuesday, May 6, after school in M213. They will be discussing current events.

Our 4/28 Teacher of the Week is Mr. Trotter!
“I love teaching and coaching the students here at Roxbury. I have been teaching for 27 years. I still love it because the kids are great to work with, and I love being around the other PE teachers and coaches. Outside of school, I enjoy golfing, spending time with my family, and walking my dog, Sadie.” – Mr. Trotter.
