Our 3/31 Teacher of the Week is Ms. Niya!
“To me, teaching is not just a job but a chance to help students think critically and find their own voices. I love being here at Roxbury because of the amazing students who make every day exciting and meaningful. When I’m outside of the classroom, my biggest joy is being a mom to my two incredible kids. They’re a daily reminder of why learning and laughter matter so much. I’m proud to be part of such an outstanding school community that values learning and connection. Go Gaels!”
“Ms. Niya is one of the best teachers to teach in the English department. She’s super supportive and encouraging with her students. She always has the best advice to give and is so welcoming. I’m glad she is part of the Roxbury community, and she definitely deserves the Teacher of the Week!” – Vanessa Burgos, 12
“Ms. Niya is a phenomenal English teacher! She is a very kind, helpful, and real teacher and always strives to do whatever she can for her students. She always has a very bright, outgoing attitude and she absolutely deserves Teacher of the Week — congratulations!” – Anthony Fitzpatrick, 12
“Ms. Niya is a fun and supportive teacher. She’s helpful not only in English class, but also outside of class. She helps with other classwork, and has helped me with things for college and graduation. She’s funny and understands her students and makes sure everyone feels welcome.”
Congratulations to Ms. Niya, our 3/31 Teacher of the Week!
