Our 3/10 Student of the Week is Julia Katz!
“I’m a senior at Roxbury High School, where I play on the Varsity Ice Hockey, Field Hockey, and Softball teams. I’m also a member of the National Honor Society and volunteer as a coach for my club ice hockey team. After graduation, I’m committed to Stevens Institute of Technology, where I’ll be playing NCAA Field Hockey and Club Men’s Ice Hockey. I’ll be majoring in Chemical Engineering and participating in the iSTEM program. If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be this: ‘Always put passion into everything you do. There will be moments when things feel impossible, but never let those challenges make you doubt your abilities. When you’re truly passionate about something, you can do anything. Never give up.’”
“Julia is so sweet and inspirational! I love being around her and she’s always been such a fun person to skate with! I’m so sad to see her go to college but so excited to see what’s to come for her at Stevens!” – Taylor Schauble, Junior
“Julia is a fantastic student, consistently goes above and beyond in class, always asks engaging questions, and continues conversations. If I had 20 Julia Katzes, my job would be easier.” – Mr. Doyle
“Julia is the ultimate team player who always celebrates the successes of her teammates. Just recently, our team dealt with a significant injury from another player. When the coaches addressed the team looking for girls to step up and help, Julia responded immediately. What makes her an important team player is that she never shies away from a challenge and is willing to learn new positions to better the team. As a coach, I am grateful to have players like Julia. They make my job easier and more enjoyable!” – Mr. Critelli
Congratulations to Julia Katz, our 3/10 Student of the Week!
