Do the Tennessee Titans stick with QB Will Levis? Is it time to move on from Levis? After last week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, Levis threw a pick-six continuing his prosperity for turnovers this season. Head Coach Brian Callahan wasn’t as angry this time: not like he was during his outburst on the sideline after Levis unbelievably lost a fumble in scoring position against the New York Jets. Camera’s caught Brian yelling at Levis “What the f— are you doing?” Or after his other wreckless nail-in-the-coffin pick-six in the season opener against the Chicago Bears.
Jayden Daniels has arrived, and he’s brought revenge with him. The Washington Commanders rookie quarterback has been good all season, but Sunday he brought a new look to his name. In Week 3’s explosive performance in the upset win against the Bengals, Daniels went 21/23, throwing for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns. The second overall pick from LSU became the first quarterback in NFL history to complete 85 percent passes or more in back-to-back games. Daniels’ completion percentage 82.1 is the highest by any quarterback through four games since Tom Brady’s 79.2 percentage in 2007.
Most importantly for Daniels’, he looked calm and composed on the field Sunday. He looked confident in the pocket, and like he belonged. The situation couldn’t get much better for Washington right now, after a long search for a franchise quarterback, it seems like they have finally found the right guy.
Moving over to the game in New York, the Jets had fallen short to Denver at home. Even with the Broncos quarterback throwing for 60 yards, the Broncos still found a way to earn a win on the road. The Jets were down by one point (10-9) late in the fourth with 47 seconds to go, and Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein couldn’t put the ball through the posts from 50 yards out. Just when they thought they’d extend their winning streak, it ended the complete opposite way.
Both New York teams played at home in Week 4, and neither scored a touchdown. This week marked the 57th time that both teams have played at home in the same week and the first time neither team has scored a single touchdown.
The undefeated Minnesota Vikings, continue to prove worthy of a Super Bowl contention. Quarterback Sam Darnold has officially started his embarkation in the league and the MVP race. Darnold has thrown for 11 TD passes through four weeks and is now just the fifth quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to a 4-0 start.
Unfortunately, although wins have been racking up for the powerhouses in the league, so have injuries. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagoviloa is still out with a concussion and it is impacting Miami heavily. The Chiefs lose another star WR in Rashee Rice who is likely to be out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. The Chiefs have already lost Hollywood Brown and Isiah Pacheco to serious injuries and now, they’re running out of weapons. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson left Sunday’s game with a hip injury while Jonathan Taylor appears to have suffered a high ankle sprain.
Injuries have been racking up rapidly in the NFL, the mentality right now is who is going to be the next guy up and get the job done.
