Our 5/28 Student of the Week is Angelina Riveros! Angelina is involved in Equal Rights Advocacy, Revelations, Melodies, Classic Sounds, and the Music Honor Society. She loves to sing and is involved with state choir where she was ranked 27th in the state at one point. She plans on going to University of Pittsburgh where she was awarded a full-ride scholarship. She plans on helping other first-generation students while continuing to bring a sense of inclusivity into the community. She also would like to pursue a career in technology.
“I’ve known Angelina from the 8th grade on- and she has always been steadfast in her conviction to make the world a better place! I had the privilege of being her teacher- then her Equal Rights Advocacy advisor, where she led the club for two years as an officer! This year, she reached the rank of Meeting Chair, where she took charge of the club, hosted meetings, led fundraising initiatives, and her friendly demeanor led more students to participate than ever before! She is such a hardworking and ambitious student, who is altruistic and passionate! I can’t wait to see how she changes the world for the better- because I know she can do it! I wish all students were like her!” – Ms. Christiansen, Teacher of Social Studies
Congratulations to Angelina Riveros, our 5/28 Student of the week!
