Our 5/20 Teacher of the Week is Ms. Rispoli! She began working at Roxbury High School in September of 2005. She went to CCM and got an AA in Humanities/Liberal Arts and then continued on to Montclair State University and earned a BA in English and Secondary Education. She then earned a Master’s in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Marygrove University. Most recently she earned an Ed.S. post-masters degree in Educational Leadership, Management, & Policy, and earned my Supervisor, Principal, and Superintendent license. Her favorite part about her job is “all of you. I love being a part of your high school experience and watching everyone grow. It’s always given me hope for the future. There is nothing like seeing kids begin to see their own value and use their own voices.” Ms. Rispoli’s passion and kindness are appreciated by all her students which is evidenced by the following quotes:
“Mrs. Rispoli is one of the best teachers and role models at RHS. I am so grateful I was able to have her as a teacher. She not only taught me English, but she taught me life lessons and stories that I’ll never forget. Thank you for everything Ms. Rispoli!” – Taylor Schauble, Editor
“Ms. Rispoli is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. She is kind and understanding and always ready to help when someone is in need. She is absolutely amazing at what she does and I’m so grateful for her!” – Katie Caron, Junior
“Ms. Rispoli is the most caring and dedicated teacher I have ever had. She always ensures that her students are succeeding both academically and personally. I had Ms. Rispoli as my freshman English teacher, and I felt her support since the first day of class. I will always appreciate her drive for showing her students that she truly cares about them!” – Abbie Entel, Junior
Congratulations to Ms. Rispoli, our 5/20 teacher of the week!
