Welcome to the Roxbury Recap, where we keep you in the loop with all things Roxbury.

• Color Fun Run (Saturday, May 19th): This year’s annual color fun run, hosted by Interact Club, will be held at Horseshoe Lake this Sunday, May 19th 10:30. Show up in support of your fellow classmates!

• National Art Honor Society & Art Show (Thursday, May 16th): Roxbury students had the opportunity to showcase their artwork for all to see. The show took place on Thursday May 16, at 7 pm in the RHS Cafeteria. The best-in-show and underclassmen winners will be announced at the ceremony.

Awards & Accolades 

• Teacher of the Year and Ed. Service Provider of the Year:

Congratulations to Mr. Bewalder for winning Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Kenny for winning Ed. Service Provider of the Year! Thank you both for your amazing impact on our school community here at Roxbury.

Fundraisers

• Class of 2027 Volleyball Tournament (Wednesday, May 29th): The Class of 2027 is hosting a volleyball tournament at the end of this month! Check out the flyer below for more information.

Girls Lacrosse

• Roxbury vs Morris Hills (Saturday, 5/18): Roxbury Girls Lacrosse plays Morris Hills at Horshoe Lake Turf for the 2024 Charity game with a  6 pm start time. Good luck, ladies!

• Roxbury vs Cedar Grove (Monday, 5/20): Roxbury Girls Lacrosse plays Cedar Grove in their last regular season game away at 4:30 pm!

Boys Lacrosse

• Roxbury vs Morris Catholic (Saturday, 5/18): Roxbury Boys Lacrosse plays Morris Catholic on Saturday, May 18th at 10 am!

• Roxbury vs West Morris (Tuesday, 5/21): Roxbury Boys Lacrosse travels to West Morris for their last regular season game of the year. Good luck boys!

Softball

• Roxbury vs Franklin (Saturday, 5/18): Roxbury Softball takes on Franklin at home on Saturday the 18th at 4 pm.

Baseball 

• Roxbury vs Morristown-Beard (Saturday, 5/18): Roxbury Baseball takes on Morristown-Beard at home on Saturday the 18th at 10 am.

• Roxbury vs Delbarton (Monday, 5/20): Roxbury Baseball takes on Delbarton at home on Monday the 20th at 4 pm.

• Roxbury vs  Seton Hall Prep (Tuesday, 5/21): Roxbury Baseball takes on Seton Hall Prep away on Tuesday the 21st at 4:15 pm.

Golf

• Roxbury vs Montville (Monday, 5/20): Roxbury Golf takes on Montville away on Monday the 20th at 3:30 pm.

• Roxbury vs Newton (Tuesday, 5/21): Roxbury Golf takes on Newton at home on Tuesday the 21st at 4 pm.

• Roxbury vs Jefferson (Wednesday, 5/22): Roxbury Golf takes on Jefferson away on Wednesday the 22nd at 3:15 pm.

Tennis

• Roxbury vs West Milford (Monday, 5/20): Roxbury Tennis plays their final game against West Milford at 4:15! Good luck!

Clubs

• Roxbury Debate Tournament (Monday, 5/20): Roxbury is hosting a friendly Debate Tournament on Monday for all of Morris County Debate!

Field Trips

• Media Conference (Friday, 5/7): The Roxbury Media Conference is being held at RHS TODAY, Friday, May 17th. This Conference includes various guest speakers educating students on their experiences in their workplace and the media. 

Our 5/13 Student of the Week is senior Chris DiTrolio! 

Chris plays on the varsity basketball team, is the President of Gaelvision, a member of Best Buddies and Interact Club, as well as Peer Leaders and the National Honor Society. His favorite things to do outside of school are playing or talking about sports, hanging out with his friends, going to the gym, and photography. His future plans consist of attending Clemson University where he will be majoring in business. His overall future job is undecided but he hopes to work somewhere in the business field where he can enjoy what what he does! Chris is hardworking and dedicated which is evidenced by the following quote: 

“Chris has done a great job coming up with creative ideas to help promote our athletes and programs through the Sports Media class and Roxbury Athletics. Especially as of late, he’s really taken the ownership of his work to a new level. I’m super proud of him for that.” – Derek Bischoff
