- Junior Prom (Friday, 4/19): The Junior Prom was last Friday and it was a success! Thank you to all the staff that helped make this night so wonderful! Between the food, the dancing, and all the pictures, Junior Prom 2024 will be a lasting memory!
- Bring Your Child to Work Day (Thursday, 4/25): Bring Your Child to Work Day as on Thursday, 4/25 students had the opportunity to learn about their parents’ occupations while accompanying them to work as part of the nationwide Bring Your Child to Work Day initiative. Our teachers also had the opportunity to bring their kids to school for the day!

- RHS is Now Accepting Teacher/Ed Service Provider of the Year Nominations: It’s the time of year when we recognize RHS’s outstanding educators. This year, we will recognize BOTH a Teacher of the Year and an Educational Services Provider of the Year. Please take a few minutes to recognize your favorite teachers and staff members for this distinguished honor!

- April is Embracing Abilities Month: April is Embracing Abilities Month! Celebrate by participating in Spirit Fridays for the rest of the month.
- Roxbury Day (Friday, 4/26): Today, Friday, 4/26 is Roxbury Day! Stand up and choose inclusion by wearing your favorite Roxbury gear or Blue & Gold. Show everyone that you are a Roxbury student who stands up and includes ALL people.
- Yearbook Sales (Now- Saturday, 5/4): The 2023-2024 RHS ECHO Yearbook is still available for purchase. We are about 80% sold out and the final day to order is May 4th. We cannot guarantee that there will be extra books available on the day of distribution in June. To order your yearbook, please visit www.yearbookordercenter.com.

- Roxbury vs Pascack Valley (Monday, 4/29): Roxbury Baseball takes on Pascack Valley on Monday the 29th at 6PM.
- Roxbury vs Bloomfield (Tuesday, 4/30): Roxbury Baseball takes on Bloomfield on Tuesday the 30th at 4:15PM.
- Roxbury vs Mount Olive (Wednesday, 5/1): Roxbury Baseball takes on Mount Olive on Wednesday the 1st at 4PM.
Golf
- KGolf Classic: The RHS Golf team won the KGolf Classic at the Berkshire Valley Golf Course! Congratulations!
- Marching Band Registration: The Marching Gaels 2024 season registration is now open! Go to the Marching Gaels classroom to register. Check out the Marching Gaels instagram for this season’s trailer for their show “Rearrange!”
- Roxbury Winter Guard Championships (Saturday, 4/20): Roxbury Winter Guard competed at their Championship competition this past Saturday at the CURE Insurance Arena. They performed their show “A Gilded Touch.” The Winter Guard placed 5th out of 12 in the Scholastic Regional A division, and broke 90 for the first time this season with a score of 90.56. Congratulations to the Roxbury Guard!
- Roxbury Choir Goes to Boston (4/25-4/28): All of Roxbury Choirs left for Boston on Thursday, 4/25 to compete against many other choirs across the region.
Clubs
- Rox-Buddies (Wednesday, 4/24): Rox-Buddies went to Nixon Elementary School from 3:30-4:30 PM to spend time with their Nixon Buddies!
- Equal Rights Advocacy (Tuesday, 4/30): ERA had a meeting this past Tuesday where they discussed the GLSEN Day Of Silence and made t-shirts.
- Yearbook Club (Tuesday, 4/30): The Yearbook Club is meeting after school on Tuesday, 4/30. The club focused on creating the divider pages in E-Design.
Field Trips
- Wellness Class Field Trip (Thursday, 5/2): The Wellness classes will be going on a field trip to Ringwood State Park. They will be leaving at 7:30 AM and will return by 2:00 PM.
Our teacher of the week is Mr. Donegan!
Mr. Donegan has been working for Roxbury School District for 26 years! He graduated from Bloomsburg University where he majored in chemistry with a minor in business. Students all around appreciate him as a teacher which is evidenced by the following quote:
“I had Mr. Donegan in 8th grade for science. I really enjoyed his class and I learned a lot. He made class fun and he always made everyone laugh!” -Sophia Chirico
