Our student of the week is Junior, Anuj Vyas! Anuj is the president of Rox-THON and Peer to Peer. He is an officer for the Equal Rights Advocacy Club and is involved in the National Honor Society, Marching Band, Model UN and Model Congress. He enjoys baking by himself and with his friends. He plans on majoring in computer science and finance so he could become a Database Administrator for a bank after college. His friends and teachers are inspired by his all-around kindness and willingness to help others which is evidenced by the following quotes:
“Anuj has been my best friend since the fourth grade and I’m so grateful for him! He is so passionate, funny, and caring. He is super involved and wants to help others be the best versions of themselves. He constantly amazes me, and I’m so happy I got to watch him become the great leader he is today. He has always been a person I can turn to and talk to when I need it the most. He has such a bright future and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes!” – Katie Caron, Junior
“Anuj is very hardworking and dedicated to the things he does. He’s always willing to help with assignments and is very patient when he’s explaining them! He is also very smart and funny, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Anuj is a very good friend, classmate and leader!” -Chloe Ramella, Junior
“Anuj is such an amazing leader and friend. He is so kind and fun to be around. In addition to being super responsible and organized, he’s the president of peer-to-peer and he’s always on top of stuff, it’s amazing. Anuj is so insanely caring, funny and [he’s] a great friend!” -Kate McDougal, Junior
“We’re proud to have Anuj Vyas as our next Rox-THON President, and equally excited for his Peer-to-Peer Presidency. Anuj has demonstrated himself as an incredibly strong leader and overall great person. He sets a positive example for his peers and is always willing to help others – through Rox-THON, ERA, and beyond. He has what it takes to be a great president, and his clubs will thrive under his leadership over the next year. He’s certainly deserving of being a Student of the Week based on what he’s accomplished, and what he will continue to do.” -Mr. Gottfried, Science Teacher
“Anuj is a bright light that has helped ERA SHINE this year! His technical position is recording secretary for the club, helping maintain accurate records and keep us organized! However…his actual position is to add in witty, interesting and fact-checked remarks throughout the meetings, keeping everyone on their toes, and putting a smile on their faces at the same time!” -Ms. Christiansen, History Teacher
Congratulations to Anuj Vyas, our 4/8 student of the week!
