Our teacher of the week is Mrs. Schmidt! Mrs. Schmidt has been teaching at Roxbury High School for 15 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Monmouth University where she studied English and Secondary Education. She then went on to receive her Masters at Centenary University in Educational Practice. Her favorite thing about her job is, “The students, getting to motivate and listening to them and watch them grow and learn to love the content. The staff makes my job enjoyable as well, they are all very kind and supportive.” Students all around appreciate her kindness and helpfulness which is evidenced by the following quotes:
“Mrs. Schmidt is the most helpful teacher to anyone who asks. She always makes the class environment fun and comfortable for her students. I love when at the beginning of every class she asks about us and what we are doing in our lives, which just shows how much she cares about her students. I am so happy that I got to have her this year!” -Abbie Entel, Junior
“Mrs. Schmidt is one of the kindest and funniest teachers I’ve ever had. She is always willing to help with any of the coursework and make sure all her students are comfortable. She is so passionate about her work and is constantly pushing all her students to produce the best product they can! I’m so happy that I’m her student and she is definitely deserving of the teacher of the week!” -Katie Caron, Junior
“I’ve known Mrs. Schmidt since Freshman year, she is one of the most compassionate and caring teachers that I have ever met. Mrs. Schmidt has always been someone who will encourage you no matter what and will always have an interest in what you say. Mrs. Schmidt is also willing to listen to anyone about anything
Congratulations to Mrs. Schmidt, our 3/25 teacher of the week!
