Our student of the week is Amanda Katz! Katz is a freshman and is involved in multiple clubs, and just recently finished her first high school hockey season with a recorded .783 save percentage. Amanda is a kind, courageous, and smart individual who inspires others around her. Katz is spending her first year in high school exploring what the school has to offer, and is taking ceramics, photography, and culinary. Her favorite parts about the high school are “all the afterschool activities or the supportive teachers!” Amanda continues to inspire and influence everyone around her, and a few quotes supporting this are as follow:
“Amanda Katz is one of the sweetest and most inspiring girls I’ve met! I always see her with a smile on her face, and she is so kind and welcoming to everybody she encounters. I know Amanda from school and synchronized skating, and she is never one to back down from a challenge or to try something new. Amanda is an amazing hockey player and an even better person. She is such a fun person to be around, and her energy is so contagious. I’m so excited and proud to announce that the Roxbury Recap is celebrating her by making her our Student of the Week. Thank you Amanda for being a great role model, friend, and athlete, and keep being you!” – Taylor Schauble, Sophomore
“Amanda is an incredibly hardworking and dedicated athlete. She is poised under pressure and always ready to play.” -Mr. Benbow
“Amanda is personable, persistent, and powerful whether in class or on the ice. She brings a warmth and camaraderie to the classroom and has never failed to make me smile. Amanda’s positive attitude even when faced with difficulties is one of her strongest traits, hitting every mark on the Portrait of a Graduate adaptability & resilience characteristics. I’m sure this is only one of many honors Amanda will receive throughout her life and I feel very lucky that I’ve gotten to share this year with her.” -Ms. Rispoli
Congratulations to Amanda Katz, our 3/4 student of the week!

Excuse me Roxbury Review:
Can I be the next student of the week because I’m too sweet and I really like to socialize and say hi to the students walking around the hallway. That would be very awesome.
