This time of season is the best time of year because of its exciting things to do and many places to see. People look forward to Christmas all year mainly because of the holiday spirit in the air. New Jersey is filled with all of these family-friendly attractions and places to visit. First is the Holiday Lights 2023 at The Turtle Back Zoo. In this event, you can take a night stroll outdoors through light displays and photo ops with friends and family. This is a fun activity to do for any age. According to Holiday Lights Spectacular – Turtle Back Zoo, you can “take a winter stroll through the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo this holiday season under the sparkling lights of over 50 winter and animal characters.”
Mrs. Santoro, a teacher at Roxbury High School was asked a question regarding her visit to the Holiday Lights 2023 at The Turtle Back Zoo. She was asked “Describe your time at the Holiday Lights Spectacular at Turtle Back Zoo.”
“It was a lot of fun. The exhibits were closed but the ones that were open were filled with lots of festive lights. It’s definitely a tradition I want to continue each year.” She stated.
Skylands Stadium Christmas Light Show and Village is fun for kids and adults of all ages, located at Skylands Stadium in Augusta, NJ. It is a one mile long drive-thru with over two million sparkling lights. There is also a Christmas Village where you can take a photo with Santa and look at all the holiday vendors.
Six Flags Holiday in the Park is a fun event for everyone. Six Flags in Jackson, NJ becomes a winter wonderland with dazzling lights, holiday treats, and entertainment. You can eat their festive Christmas treats, such as gingerbread or peppermint funnel cake. You can also meet the Holiday in the Park’s characters which is a fun activity for people of all ages.
The German Christmas Market of NJ located at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ is a holiday activity loved by many. Filled with many vendors, their mission is to give back to local charities. It is composed of sparkling Christmas lights and decorations, holiday music, and authentic festive foods and vendors. Bringing your family and friends here can provide you with a fun holiday experience. The German Christmas Market is made up of 100% volunteers. Santa’s Trolley Rides located in Southern New Jersey, Cape May is fun for kids and families. This is fun for children and is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!
