Spread Joy and Kindess
Spread Joy and Kindness
The holiday season is a time where love is felt through the air. It is also a time where children are anxious and excited. Many also feel inspired by joy to give back to their community, people they love, and ones who may not be as fortunate. Around the holidays, there are many good deeds to do that can spread kindness. Small gestures such as donating a coin, holding a door, or even singing carols are some ways to create joy for the holiday season. Here are some ideas and ways to give back during the holidays!
A Letter to a Loved One: Think of someone who has made a difference in your life or helped you in someway. Got it? Now, sit down and write a letter to express your gratitude. This will make you feel good, but more importantly, make the person receiving it smile because of your kindness!
Donate to Charities: When walking around stores or even online shopping, it is common that there is a donation jar for a local community. This is an easy way to help those in need while still continuing your daily tasks, like grocery shopping. Online, Amazon has created “Amazon Smile” where a percentage of your purchase will go to a charity of your choice. This is a way to support, spread joy and help others this holiday season.
Clear out Clutter: Around the house, there are many items that some people no longer use. Clothing, household items, games or CDs. Clearing out the clutter and packing up clothing items that are no longer in use is another great way to donate to your community. It is also a great way to stay organized!
Get in the Holiday Spirit: This last way of giving back is something anyone can do. Hold a door open for someone who has their hands full. Grab a group of friends and go caroling at a local nursing home. How about baking some delicious chocolate cookies for holiday gift ideas for your neighbors and wish everyone around you happy holidays! Giving this season is something anyone can do. So share your joy, share your kindness, and spread the love for the holidays.
